SoundCloud has unveiled a collaboration with Solid Media Foundation Management, under which the involved parties will work to find new talent and revolutionize artist partnerships.
Solid Foundation LLC a division of QC Media, was founded by CEO Pierre "Pee" Thomas and COO Kevin "Coach K" Lee in 2013. Chart-topping artists developed on the Solid Foundation/Quality Control roaster have included Lil Yachty, City Girls, Migos and a host of other trailblazers in the music field. It has also since expanded its mission to sports with a wide roaster that includes NFL’s D’Andre Swift and Alvin Kamara.
In addition to their management company, Coach Ka and Pee run the Quality Control Music label which is a partner of Motown Record, Universal Music Group and Capitol Music Group.
Quality Control Music has been a huge success as the tag constantly takes chances on new artists looking to push into global stardom. The imprint has done it with the likes of Lil Baby, The City Girls and Migos and many more. The company revealed they’re collaborating with SoundCloud for a joint venture.
The collaboration finds QC’s management as well as creative services side – Solid Foundation Management coming together with SoundCloud.
Eliah Seton, president of SoundCloud, with Coach K and Pee along with the new project, saying Coach K and Pee are 3 of the most influential voices in the music industry, having identified, developed, and grown a few of the most successful hip-hop acts of our time.
With this joint venture, we are bringing together SoundCloud and the biggest A&R source on the planet with the creative genius of Coach K and Pee.
According to Variety, QC will work in partnership to identify, invest in, and foster the careers of musicians on the platform. According to Pee Thomas on the joint venture, saying:
“With our lot times of ear to the street skills coupled with SoundCloud’s long stream of talent and powerful data pointing to what’s authentically bubbling up in the scene, I cannot think of better merging of passion, Skillets, and Intel to make countless new ways for emerging talents. Bearing these all information in mind, QC medial invested in SoundCloud – and the Stake’s worth has not been publicly announced – and Solid Foundation Management will team up with the company to identify, invest in, and foster the careers of musicians features on the platform, according to entitle’s announcement message.
Quality Controls Founder team up with SoundCloud To Find Help New Artists

Recently, SoundCloud has launched a new top tier of artist service offering, known as its roaster. Under these Roaster deals, especially successful independent artists – including Tekno and Lil Pump – sign to SoundCloud, with a brand paying advances and investing in artist advertising, etc. Just a conventional record label might.
A few days back, SoundCloud has leveled up this artist services business, through an intriguing collaboration with Solid Foundation Management, and the creative services arm of QC Media Holdings.
QC Media Holding is both operated and owned by respect music industry legends Coach K and Pee Thomas.
Coach K, Pee and their Atlanta-based Solid Foundation Management team tell in detail, they’ll work in a joint venture with SoundCloud to identify, invest in, and develop careers of artists rising on the platform.
A recent press release from SoundCloud suggests that JV will ultimately create Custom A & R programs for picked artists inclusive of development, marketing and distribution, and artists services. As a part of the collaboration contract, QC Media has invested an undisclosed amount into SoundCloud.
Eliah Seton, President of SoundCloud, also said: “We’re excited to team up with them in this innovative way as together we amplify the voices of who is next in music.”
Pierre “P” Thomas added: “Data merging of the SoundCloud with our time-tested way of cultivating and developing artists a blend to be reckoned with.”
Kevin “Coach K,” Lee said: “There’s nothing more vital to our procedure than discovering new artists, so joint venture with SoundCloud, one of the most vital hotbeds of talent, is extremely exciting to us.”
SoundCloud further suggests in its press release announcing that the new JV demonstrates a commitment to curating artist joint venture that provides flexibility, for both industry partners and artists, with collaborative and customized relationships aimed to empower artists to own and provide control of their rights and creative procedure.
The news followed contracts with a couple of rapper award-winning singers Tekno and Lil Pump, which were previously announced.
Music Business Worldwide revealed a few days back that the annual revenue of SoundCloud in FY 2020 stood at $218.7M, up to 31% year on year. SoundCloud’s gross profit in a similar year increased 51% to $69M, while its operating losses substantially narrowed by 41% YOY to $17M music business globally.
